The Site
Originally opening in the Summer of 2001, J.Re*'s Simpsons Site, was just a small Tripod hosted site with measly content, but some great news. The news caught the attention of Evergreen Terrace webmaster, Eric Wirtanen, who then asked J.Re* to update at Evergreen Terrace (one of the highest rated Simpsons websites on the internet and a personal favorite of J.Re*). During this time, J.Re*'s Simpsons Site closed without any probability of ever opening again. But, to the suprise of few it reopened on February 22nd of 2002, with a brand new design and more than double the original content. Soon after opening, the site was hit with a Cease & Desist order coming from FOX and was forcefully removed from Tripod. Luckily, the webmaster was planning to move off of Tripod anyway, and he now had a perfect reason. The site moved to jre.splashmore.com after J.Re* became a staff member at Mount Splashmore. On June 14th, 2002, J.Re*'s Simpsons Site, changed its name to Go Simpsonic, after the Simpsons CD entitled "Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons!", and it got a brand new, much needed redesign. The site was then closed once again for a long delay due to school and personal reasons, but when it came back on February 22nd of 2003, it had twice the content (again), new staff, a brand new design, and its own domain name. Same deal, same domain, different year, different design when Go Simpsonic reopened it's doors on February 1st of 2004 after a short closing.
Information
When was this site started?
Around June 2001. Where did the idea to do a Simpsons site come from?
Well The Simpsons is my favorite show and my obsession continued onto the world wide web. Can I join?
We are not currently open in any positions, but feel free to send me any news articles or fan submissions to fansubmission@dashdingo.com Were do I send e-mail to?
Send all e-mails to me at justinreese@dashdingo.com What does "Go Simpsonic!" come from
"Go Simpsonic!" comes from a Simpsons CD that was entitled "Go Simpsonic With The Simpsons" Dash Dingo?
You may remember in the episode "Lisa Gets An 'A'", the parody of the video game Crash Bandicoot entitled Dash Dingo You Rock!
That's not a question, but, I know. You're also very cocky!
That's not a question, but, I know.
Thanks
Everyone I showed the site to before it was done and Uzipp Hosting.
Fun Fact
Go Simpsonic was once the number one result in Yahoo for the search "Information on being a Mortition" due to one of our random titles that are quotes from the show.
